Abstract

Objective: To carry out an oral examination in the infants of a rural and urban school, determining the association of their pathologies with factors related to diet. Method: The research was cross-sectional descriptive, with a sample of 42 representatives of first-year elementary school students; the data will be obtained through clinical histories and will be tabulated to make a comparison between the patients of the two schools. Results and conclusions: Through the collection of evidence it was possible to observe that the diet of infants plays a very important role in the development of caries, in the rural school in the bars the existence of various foods with high levels of sugars was observed, unlike the school located in the urban area in which the bars sell slightly more varied foods that contribute to the promotion of a balanced diet
