Piercing lingual y sus repercuciones en la cavidad oral

Objetivo: Analizar el piercing lingual y sus repercusiones en la cavidad oral. Método: Descriptivo documental, la población fue de15 articulos científicos publicados en PubMed, Scielo, Latindex 2.0, Redalyc. Conclusión: Los estudios revisados subrayan la necesidad de una mayor concienciación y educación sobre los riesgos asociados al piercing lingual. Esta práctica puede inducir complicaciones significativas en la cavidad oral, desde inflamación y dolor inmediato hasta infecciones, lesiones en tejidos blandos y duros, y problemas periodontales a largo plazo.
