Valuation of the small amount procedure in a public institution

The objective of the investigation is to assess the small amount procedure in the public company Empresa Municipal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Riobamba. The research was descriptive, non-experimental and field, because it provides information on the processes of tiny amount developed in the company. The Results indicated to compete in the contracting processes require a medium level of knowledge. Another important finding was to determine that the majority of users qualify the use of the system as efficient and also sometimes the processes of very small amounts are efficient and meet the objectives for the acquisition of goods and services. In conclusion, public procurement processes in Ecuador are important, since a significant percentage of public resources are allocated to public purchases, which generates a great boost to the country's economy.
