Toothbrush maintenance habits in elementary school students

Objective: To analyze toothbrush maintenance habits in elementary school students. Methods: A systematic review was conducted according to PRISMA guidelines. Conclusion: The results of this systematic review show a critical need to improve toothbrush maintenance habits among elementary school students. The prevalence of inappropriate practices, such as infrequent replacement and improper storage of toothbrushes, highlights the lack of knowledge and lack of effective educational interventions. Socio-demographic factors significantly influence these habits, underlining the need for inclusive and accessible educational strategies for all socio-economic levels.
