Abstract

Objective: To evaluate patient safety and medication administration errors in the surgical area of the Metropolitan Clinic of Ambato, Ecuador. Methods: Descriptive observational study, the population consisted of 13 patients in the surgery area of the Metropolitan Clinic of Ambato, Ecuador. Conclusion: The implementation of error prevention measures and safe and effective administration of medications is essential to guarantee the quality and warmth of care in the clinic, as well as to comply with biosafety standards and safeguard the patient's safety and integrity.
