Barriers and quality factors in obstetrics and gynaecology patient care

Objective: To analyze the barriers and quality factors in obstetrics and gynecology patient care. Method: Descriptive observational study. Results: 75% indicated that they would recommend that pregnant women seek care at the IESS Ambato Hospital, 20% did not know whether they would recommend it or not, and 5% did not recommend it, due to the fact that some patients stated that they had problems accessing the institution by appointment. Conclusion: The analysis of barriers and quality factors in the care of obstetrics and gynecology patients at the Hospital IESS-Ambato shows the importance of quality care that includes effective communication, timely access to services, clear and complete information, and the promotion of breastfeeding.
