Preventive stomatological considerations for infants from 6 to 11 years of age

Abstract

Objective: The objective of this research is to carry out a study on the considerations that must be taken into account for the management of an infant with Down Syndrome (DS). Method: A documentary review was carried out using a survey, which was carried out to the parents whose children make up the Down Foundation, only infants between the ages of 6 and 11 within the foundation were taken into account. Results and conclusions: As a result of the survey, we found that the infants of the sample taken develop dental caries and malocclusions, it is also known that the infants attend their dental check-ups normally and that their behavior in the office could vary from normal to a inappropriate behavior depending on the infant.
