Abstract

The objective of the research was to identify those activities that do not add value to the supply and production process of cat litter. The research was descriptive, because with the use of a satisfaction survey, an attempt is made to describe and explain the customer's opinion regarding cat litter products. The Results showed that the application of the VSM accompanied by a diagnosis of customer satisfaction towards the product offered, allowing the identification of those tasks that do not add value to the final product. In conclusion, the VSM tool turns out to be very useful for supply and production chains, because it already fully shows the related processes from the request of the product to its delivery in order to eliminate waste from each process, achieving significant improvements in the production flow, reducing time and saving resources.
