Abstract

The overturning change that the world suffered because of the sanitary emergency due to COVID-19 not only affected the health sector of each country moreover it brought an uncountable number of educational problems. The incoming investigation is directed to the rural community and it seeks to analyze perspectives of teachers during the sanitary emergency. By the use of some analytic tools it was given way to the investigation in Maria Montessori’s primary education school located in Loja Malacatos parish. It was identified a set of limitations not only in socioeconomic regards and in access to technology and connectivity, but also in educational and digital culture of homes. Finally, it is concluded that those aspects which were sensed by teachers hindered the educational continuity during the pandemic and furthermore impeded quality education, thus emerging the need to propose an educational project about teacher digital training which would ease their labor in rural areas.
