Eficacia de camuflaje ortodóntico de clase II esqueletal

Objetivo: Evaluar las técnicas de camuflaje ortodóntico para tratar maloclusiones de Clase II esqueletal. Método: Se realizó una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura en bases de datos académicas entre 2013 y 2023. De 1,278 estudios identificados, 1,062 fueron seleccionados tras un cribado inicial, y 17 estudios adecuados fueron revisados en profundidad. Resultados: El camuflaje ortodóntico en la Clase II esqueletal se logra mediante evaluaciones personalizadas. Las técnicas incluyen extracciones dentales y el uso de anclaje absoluto, mejorando tanto la relación maxilo-mandibular como la estética del paciente. Conclusiones: El camuflaje ortodóntico es una opción efectiva para pacientes con Clase II esqueletal, siempre que se realice una evaluación individualizada. El seguimiento continuo del perfil labial es crucial para ajustar el tratamiento y optimizar los resultados.
