Risk factors for nursing staff in the preparation and administration of cytostatic

Objective: to identify the risk factors for the health of nursing staff who prepare and administer cytostatic by means of a literature review. Method: Descriptive observational documentary. Results y conclusion: The risk of presenting signs and symptoms derived from the handling of cytostatic increases with greater exposure, nursing staff may present mainly headache, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, mouth ulcers, loss of hair, eyebrows and eyelashes, eye and skin irritations, genetic damage, infertility, spontaneous abortions, risk of fetal malformations given by the same condition of these drugs qualified as genotoxic, carcinogenic, teratogenic producing both organic and reproductive toxicity.
