Objective: To analyze the efficacy of CA(OH)2 removal as an intraconduit medication by comparing two irrigation techniques. Method: Type of research applied by manual irrigation. Conclusion: It is estimated that for a better result in the removal of intra-duct medication, as well as smear Layer, an adequate protocol of final irrigation with 10 ml of sodium hypochlorite per duct, followed by irrigation with physiological saline, and activation of EDTA for 3 minutes, if done manually and from 30 seconds to 1 minute if done ultrasonically, should be carried out. Similarly, it is considered that for future studies the effectiveness of irrigation with Waterpik and manual dynamic activation used in the clinic can be evaluated, since this device is much more economical compared to ultrasound and superior results could be obtained than with the manual technique.
