Abstract

Objective: To analyze the efficacy of the orthoradial technique for the localization of canals in endodontics. Method: Descriptive observational. Results and conclusion: The Uniandes Dental Care Unit (UAO) the realization of this technique is going to avoid the misuse of dental equipment, in addition to the loss of time for both the operator and the patient, since we waste time that can be occupied in the completion of the treatment due to the large number of radiographs that are needed if the canal is not located or if there is a failure in the treatment due to the presence of accessory canals, also the patient's discomfort at the time of radiographic acquisition and the longer exposure time to which the patient is subjected, the waste of material, both radiographic films that will increase the cost of the treatment, as well as the liquids used at the time of development; as well as liquids used at the time of radiographic development.
