Abstract

Due to ignorance, teachers do not use digital tools that can help improve active learning in the educational platforms of the virtual classroom. The present study aims to analyze how the use of technological tools can contribute to active education from the teaching practice. For this, a survey was carried out on the use of digital tools and the conception of active education to 33 teachers from a fiscal-commissioned educational establishment in the Sígsig canton. The results revealed that teachers use resources external to the educational platform related to YouTube videos and other gamifying pages that, if not paid, have distractors such as advertising. In this regard, three proven digital tools are proposed that can be used to enhance active education by complementing the platform: Quizizz, Socrative and Genially. The ways how to use them are presented when complementing them with the Teams platform.
