Abstract

Objective: To analyze eating habits as a cariogenic risk factor in children aged 3 to 5 years. Method: Descriptive documentary study. Conclusion: Eating habits in early childhood play a crucial role in the development of dental caries, particularly in children aged 3 to 5 years. Evidence suggests that frequent intake of sugary foods, combined with socioeconomic and behavioral factors, such as maternal education level and screen time, significantly increases the risk of caries in this vulnerable population.
