El bicarbonato de sodio en el cuidado de la salud bucal

Objetivo: Examinar la eficacia y seguridad del bicarbonato de sodio en el cuidado de la salud bucal. Método: Se llevó a cabo una revisión de la literatura utilizando base de dato científica PubMed. El bicarbonato de sodio sigue siendo un ingrediente valioso en la formulación de productos de higiene bucal, ofreciendo múltiples beneficios en la salud oral sin efectos adversos significativos. Sin embargo, es necesario continuar investigando para establecer pautas de uso más precisas, especialmente en poblaciones vulnerables como niños y personas con dientes sensibles. La integración de bicarbonato de sodio en protocolos de cuidado oral podría mejorar significativamente la salud bucal, pero siempre debe considerarse dentro del contexto de una higiene oral integral y personalizada.
