Objective: To assess toothbrush substitution practices among post-COVID-19 patients and analyze their impact on oral health. Method: Documentary descriptive. Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed oral hygiene practices, leading to increased frequency of toothbrush replacement. This practice, supported by recent studies, is essential to prevent infection and maintain good oral health. However, a comprehensive approach is needed, including education on brushing techniques and the use of other oral hygiene products. Public health campaigns must address economic barriers and ensure that everyone has access to the tools needed to maintain optimal oral health.
