Abstract

Objective: To analyze the effect of different irrigants on the removal of dentinal mud in endodontically treated teeth. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Effective removal of dentine sludge in endodontically treated teeth is essential for the long-term success of endodontic therapy. The appropriate choice of irrigants and irrigation techniques, considering the chemical and biological properties of each agent, as well as the implementation of strategies to improve the efficacy of cleaning and disinfection of the root canal system, are fundamental. Continued research and development of new irrigant formulations and irrigation techniques promise to further improve clinical outcomes and patient experience in the field of endodontics.
