Índice de fracturas en piezas con tratamiento endodóntico previo

Objetivo: analizar el índice de fracturas en piezas con tratamiento endodóntico previo. Método: Descriptiva documental. Resultados y conclusión: Es crucial destacar que cualquier diente tratado endodónticamente debe ser restaurado con el objetivo único de restablecer la función y estética del paciente, reduciendo al mínimo la filtración coronal y previniendo fracturas de la corona. Durante el tratamiento endodóntico, la pérdida de estructura dental puede ocurrir debido a la eliminación de tejido cariado, el acceso a la cámara pulpar, la instrumentación del conducto y la preparación para la restauración final. Estos procesos pueden debilitar el diente, aumentando su susceptibilidad a fracturas como consecuencia.
