Prevalencia de dientes supernumerarios y su relación con alteraciones en la oclusión

Objetivo: Analizar la prevalencia de dientes supernumerarios y su relación con alteraciones en la oclusión. Método: Descriptivo documental, se trabajó con una población de 15 articulos científicos. Conclusión: La presencia de dientes supernumerarios representa un desafío significativo en la odontología contemporánea, afectando tanto el diagnóstico clínico como el plan de tratamiento de los pacientes. Estos dientes adicionales, debido a su variabilidad en número y ubicación, pueden predisponer a maloclusiones y apiñamientos dentales, comprometiendo la función masticatoria y la estética facial.
