Objective: To analyze the variables involved in humanized nursing care for dying patients. Method: Descriptive observational study. Results: 50% rated the response to doubts about test results, progress or diagnoses regarding the patient's relative as regular. Conclusion: The patient is in a state of unconsciousness and everything perceived by the relative is a reflection of the performance of the nursing staff, since no one is exempt from going through a similar situation, calling for empathy to the professional, since the situation is delicate both for relatives and for the staff, to be able to establish a bond of affection of concern and thus be able to achieve a better range of evaluation before the public, since in the absence of patients our profession would not exist and would be obsolete.
