Rol del personal de enfermería en la seguridad de la administración de los medicamentos

Objetivo: analizar el rol del personal de enfermería en la seguridad de la administración de los medicamentos. Método: Descriptiva observacional. Resultados: el 26,32% de las enfermeras si explican los procedimientos sobre la administración de medicamentos a los pacientes y el 73,68% no explican los procedimientos debido a la falta de comunicación en la relación enfermera- paciente. Conclusión: Respecto a la seguridad en la administración de medicación a los pacientes, existe un margen de deficiencias en esta práctica no por la falta de conocimiento del personal profesional de enfermería en temas de farmacología, y aplicación eficiente en el cumplimiento de los correctos, sino más bien estas deficiencias se dan debido a la falta de responsabilidad, empatía, caso fortuito – emergencia o déficit en la interrelación enfermera- paciente.
