Educación al cuidador informal del paciente oncológico en fase agónica

Objetivo: Describir la educación al cuidador informal del paciente oncológico en fase agónica, fundamentada en un estudio bibliográfico. Método: Investigación cualitativa, descriptiva, basada en la revisión de literatura científica en el índice acumulativo de enfermería, utilizando descriptores en ciencias de la salud. Los artículos fueron sometidos a análisis sistemático. Resultados: Se localizaron y analizaron 14 artículos; el 60 % publicados entre 2020 y 2022, el 70 % en PubMed, el 80 % en países desarrollados y el 54 % con metodología cualitativa. Estos hallazgos evidencian la relevancia creciente del tema en contextos internacionales. Conclusión: El análisis permitió identificar cuatro intervenciones clave dirigidas a la familia y cuidadores de pacientes oncológicos en fase terminal: manejo de la disfunción fisiológica, manejo farmacológico, acompañamiento en el duelo y apoyo espiritual. Estas dimensiones refuerzan la necesidad de capacitar al cuidador informal para brindar atención integral y humanizada en la etapa final de la enfermedad.
