Importancia de la consulta odontológica en madres gestantes jóvenes

Objetivo: Analizar la importancia de la consulta odontológica en madres gestantes jóvenes. Método: Descriptivo documental. Conclusión: La consulta odontológica durante el embarazo es un componente esencial para garantizar la salud bucal y sistémica de la madre y el bienestar del feto. La evidencia demuestra que intervenciones educativas y preventivas específicas dirigidas a madres gestantes jóvenes no solo mejoran el conocimiento y las prácticas en torno a la salud bucal, sino que también reducen la incidencia de complicaciones como la caries dental y la periodontitis, que están asociadas con resultados adversos en el embarazo.
