Estudio retrospectivo de patologías bucodentales

Objetivo: Realizar un estudio retrospectivo de patologías bucodentales atendidas en la Clínica de Atención Odontológica UNIANDES. Método: Se revisaron las historias clínicas de los pacientes atendidos entre los 20 y los 96 años de edad. Conclusión: La caries dental es la patología que más afecta tanto a los adultos joven, adulto medio y adulto mayor que asisten a la Unidad de Atención Odontológica UNIANDES seguida el edentulismo parcial y la periodontitis crónica generalizada. Existe la necesidad de trabajar en la promoción y prevención de la salud bucodental, ya que trabajando en la educación constante ayudará no solo a incentivar a los pacientes, sino que permitirá disminuir el alto índice de estas patologías.
