Maintenance strategies for rural civil works

Abstract

The general objective of the investigation was to formulate a comprehensive maintenance plan for the civil works and basic services of the “Manuela Lugo de Reyes” National Primary School, of the Tocópero municipality, Falcón state. Methodologically, an investigation was proposed, with a non-experimental design, of a field and documentary type; with a projective level and feasible modality. For data collection, visual inspection and taking of photographs were applied that served to give visual support to the investigation, in addition to conducting unstructured interviews with workers and administrative personnel. Once the field survey was carried out, it was possible to show the deterioration of the building and the critical failures in the building were focused, later, a Maintenance Plan was formulated for civil works and basic services, providing this institution with an Organizational Structure of Maintenance that allows them to correct present and future failures.
