Abstract

The purpose of the study was to discuss the progress of the city of Puyo in barrier-free tourism, and to provide a research base and notes for inclusive tourism. The type of qualitative research and documentary level. As a result, the productivity that would be achieved if accessible tourism were applied in Puyo was determined. To start this study, different research papers on accessible tourism belonging to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) were analyzed to determine if the city of Puyo has the resources to be a city of accessible tourism and an inclusive society, it is expected that by including accessibility in the service in the tourist offer, the city will cease to be a transit city and will be recognized for carrying out said routes. The most frequently identified themes were disability, accessibility, inclusion, accessible tourism and accessibility.
