Abstract

The organizational structure is the scheme in which the institutional hierarchical levels are found; The objective of this research was to examine the work performance of public officials in 2020, the methodology is descriptive, the data were collected through techniques and instruments for data collection, as a sample of 81 municipal officials are evaluated, obtaining a high percentage of staff who responded that both the academic background and experience of staff does not meet the standard established to occupy the different positions in the institution, both senior hierarchical level and middle management. The updating of a new structural and functional organization for the institution will improve the management of the institution by giving activities and responsibilities to the personnel according to their academic level and work experience.
