Abstract

The objective of the research was to design a teacher training program on STEM education to promote interdisciplinary work. Non-experimental descriptive type. 16.7% of the population almost never apply interdisciplinary projects. The training program was designed as an alternative to contribute to the construction of interdisciplinary projects and take advantage of the benefits of STEM education. These are: they intensify necessary skills in practice, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, innovation, collaboration, research, self-confidence, leadership and teamwork. Also, it integrates the curriculum in the different subjects and educational levels. This training was oriented in stages: diagnose the initial situation, execute the training program; and evaluation and monitoring.
