Abstract

Objectives: To identify the main influencing factors in nursing that directly correlate with patient safety and increase the frequency of adverse events. Method: Descriptive epidemiological research through literature review of scientific articles published between 2018-2022, consulting DeCS terms in main electronic databases. Results: Nursing work and working conditions are directly related to the incidence of adverse events. Errors in medication administration and patient surveillance show greater correlation. Work overload increases the probability of errors. Conclusions: Interventions focused on improving working conditions, work environment and provision of supplies improve work quality and prevent adverse events related to medication.
