Abstract

Objective: Presentation of a case report on Surgical Treatment of Hyperplasia (Case Study). Method: case report. Results: 53 year old patient attends the dental office of "Uniandes", she states that she uses a total prosthesis, however some time ago she began to feel discomfort and pain when using it, later the patient is examined and then referred to the prosthesis area because the patient is edentulous and uses prosthesis, in the mentioned area they explain her that to make a prosthesis she requires as a first step to have a surgical intervention. Conclusion: Fibrous hyperplasia is a pathology that commonly occurs in the oral cavity, which is characterized as a reactive inflammatory hyperplastic lesion due to chronic trauma.
