Abstract

Objective: To analyze the epidemiological behavior of dental fluorosis. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: The necessary bases for the process of fluorosis, taking into account research and epidemiological evaluations that made it possible to determine the relationship of dental fluorosis with some environmental factors and relationship with other diseases such as caries in order to determine to what extent this pathology affects the dentition, also making it possible to relate fluorosis to the prevention process, in which the governmental approach constitutes the basic pillar of the intervention strategy at the community level.
