Difficulties that may be encountered in certain dental treatments in diabetics

Objective: to analyze the difficulties that may arise in certain dental treatments in diabetic patients. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Understanding the systemic and local complications associated with diabetes, as well as implementing strategies to mitigate these risks, are fundamental to providing safe and effective dental care to this patient population. Close collaboration between dentists, endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals, along with ongoing research and the development of specific treatment protocols, are key to improving the clinical management and oral quality of life of diabetic patients.
