Causes of oral health problems faced by older people in care homes

Objective: To analyze the causes of oral health problems faced by elderly people in nursing homes. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Oral health problems are common among elderly nursing home residents, and health care staff often lack the knowledge and skills to provide adequate oral health care to the elderly. The study suggests that educational interventions for health care staff and residents can improve knowledge and skills related to oral health care and lead to better oral health outcomes for elderly residents. The study highlights the importance of providing high-quality oral health care to elderly nursing home residents and the need for educational interventions to improve the knowledge and skills of health care staff and residents.
