Abstract

Objective: to analyze anxiety from the nursing perspective. Method: Descriptive documentary. Results and conclusion: The source of stress in nursing staff commonly cited in the different studies has been, by far, the workload, followed by relationships with patients, contact with death, problems with colleagues and conflicts with superiors, and to a lesser extent conflicts with physicians, feeling inadequately prepared and uncertainty regarding treatment.
