Role of the nursing professional in post-mortem care

Objective: To analyze the care functions of nursing professionals with patients in the process of dying and the emotional support to their relatives. Method: Descriptive documentary. Results and conclusion: The works reviewed agree that death is a natural episode in the human being, however, the emotional reactions to it are adverse, nurses show anxiety, stress, needing to be prepared with greater relevance in the subject, being the simulation the most proposed strategy to be taken into account in nursing careers.
