Objective: to analyze nursing care in adult patients with urinary tract infections. Method: Documentary review. Conclusion: The urinary tract is the most common site of infectious pathology in older adults; however, it is of great importance to make a correct diagnosis and not to confuse the physiological changes of aging with pathological alterations, because a large number of this population presents with incontinence, frequency, nocturia as part of their baseline condition, without presenting an infection itself.
