Abstract

Objectives: to determine the effectiveness of stem cell therapy in the treatment of cancer. Method: Documentary review. Conclusion: Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are a self-renewing population localized within cancer niches and play critical roles in tumor initiation, recurrence and metastasis, hypoxia, in fact, serves as a multitasking strategy to nurture CSCs with this adaptive capacity, completing targeted therapies.
