Estimation of burnout syndrome in health care personnel in a health care unit

Objective: To estimate the burnout syndrome of health personnel in a care unit of the Isidro Ayora hospital in the city of Loja - Ecuador. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Results and Conclusion: The health personnel of the ICU of the Isidro Ayora hospital contrasts with the results evidenced in other studies, showing that the presence of burnout syndrome is very low and reduced, to be more precise, 2% of the personnel presented moderate-severe presence when fulfilling two of the three dimensions considered by the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire. On the other hand, in relation to the dimensions, it is important to highlight that, as in other studies, there is an inclination towards personal fulfillment, revealing that 100% of those who participated in the study presented low levels.
