Abstract

Objective: To identify the association of severe preeclampsia with age in pregnant women. Method: Descriptive documentary. Results and Conclusion: The probability of developing preeclamsia is found in women with personal and family clinical history, and of unknown origin, which, most have been studied from the dimension of early or late onset of the pathology, concluding that this problem that causes multiorgan failure affects both the mother and the fetus; in such virtue we can say that elderly mothers are more likely to have a preterm neonate than an adolescent, this due to aging and modification of angiogenesis resulting in placental insufficiency causing undesirable outcomes in pregnant women.
