Abstract

Objective: to determine the degree of influence that the effects of work stress have had on the appearance of cognitive distortions in the public health personnel of the Francisco de Orellana Hospital during the COVID 19 pandemic. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: It is worth mentioning that psychoemotional symptoms were not related to automatic thoughts since the whole population was at a low stress level. Conclusions: In the measurement of occupational stress, it was found that half of the workers were at a low level, indicating little affectation of the stress symptomatology. It was determined the medium and low presence in all the cognitive distortions in the population, which means that the workers studied present errors in the process of information evaluation, thus obtaining equivocal and dysfunctional interpretations of the situations evaluated.
