Abstract

Objective: to estimate the prevalence of burnout syndrome in general practitioners. Method: Descriptive observational. Results and Conclusion: Multiple studies have been conducted on the prevalence of burnout syndrome in health personnel in different hospitals worldwide, the results mostly coincide, so it could be concluded that the prevalence in this study is 27% which corresponds to 8 people who meet the 3 psychological dimensions and therefore greater occupational risk, the doctors who presented burnout were those who work in emergency services, pediatrics / neonatology, ICU, respiratory isolation, internal medicine, and general surgery, presenting with greater involvement in ICU and emergency.
