Impact of burnout syndrome on nursing staff who work in critical care

Abstract

Objective: to determine the impact of burnout syndrome on nursing staff working in critical care. Method: Documentary review. Results and conclusion: The greatest tendency of the population to suffer from the Syndrome is between 25 and 34 years old, the age group with the least Burnout corresponds to people between 35 and 44 years old. Generalities about Burnout syndrome is the chronic stress that loads the nursing staff, the same one that is manifested by the exhaustion of the activities that the professionals carry out. The prevalence of Burnout syndrome in professionals causes complications in the management of patients, decreasing physical and intellectual performance.
