Objective: Analyze the relationship between the menstrual cycle and physical activity. Method: A bibliographic review of the last years was carried out, which included 10 articles published in biomedical databases (Scielo, Pubmed and Medline). Results and conclusions: The relationship between the menstrual cycle and physical activity has been the subject of research from different perspectives; Taking this relationship into account is necessary and contributes positively. The phases of the cycle are characterized by dissimilar differences, both physiological and psychological, and these set guidelines for specific physical work for a better assimilation of training loads. It is important that the entities in charge of directing physical activity and women's sports training know and implement these bases since they contribute to a better physical performance and with it to an improvement in the lifestyle of women who are dedicated to the activity. physicalDownloads
