Abstract

Objective: To analyze the process of professional training and competencies in pre-professional practices by nursing interns of the Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes. Method: Descriptive observational type. Results: 63% considered that their experience in the pre-professional internships provided by the Nursing career were not very satisfactory. Conclusion: The importance of attending to the collective demand for care available to the professional was noted, which requires the inclusion of the prevention and health promotion element in the training. It is suggested the realization of training and updating activities in the training by competences in Nursing.
