Youth unemployment. Analysis of the causes and incidences in the period 2017-2021

This research aims to explore, analyze, summarize and present the best scientific evidence that supports the causes and consequences of unemployment in young people, in publications from the period 2017 - 2021. The scientific articles of the Scopus, Dialnet and Redalyc magazines have been selected. , to then submit to the phases of identification, triage, screening and scientific eligibility; the main causes and effects were evidenced, with a curve far from being ascending and optimistic; sentenced to the abandonment of public policies, programs and effective plans that respond especially to the subcategories; there is an aggravating circumstance as an inherited antecedent, attributed to the economic crisis of 2007-2008. Generating youth job insecurity, which is broken down in the analysis. In conclusion, youth are experiencing a high rate of unemployment, and the few who work experience job insecurity, underemployment, self-employment, lack of social security coverage, interrupted income and instability; made worse by the pandemic.
