Road rehabilitation of the internal streets of the North Colombia sector of La Vela, Falcón state

Abstract

The research presented has the general objective of proposing a rehabilitation plan in the internal streets of the northern Colombia sector of La Vela, Falcón state. The investigation was in the field, which allowed us to diagnose the current physical conditions and operational functioning of these roads, through traffic studies, that is, the general count and classified count. The data collection techniques used was participant observation. Their structural conditions were evaluated, identifying the amounts of existing faults applying the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, as well as minor deforestation activities, demarcation, construction of sidewalks, demolition of asphalt layer, construction of base layer. , placement of informational signs. Seeking in this way to solve the existing problems and satisfy the need of this community as well as the daily passers-by use this important land route.
