Abstract

The general objective of this research was to determine the digital competencies to improve teaching strategies in Social Sciences teachers. It was developed from a quantitative approach, supported by documentary-bibliographic analysis. It is descriptive, because it consists of the characterization of a fact, phenomenon, individual or group. The population consisted of the teachers of the Unidad Educativa Fiscal Cinco de Junio, located in the parish of Manta, in the canton of Manta, in the province of Manabí in the school year 2021 - 2022, formed by 60 teachers of both sexes. Likewise, the techniques applied in this study were the survey and observation. In addition, the content analysis of the information collected was considered, which allowed the formulation of results. It is concluded that the mastery of digital skills is immersed in all areas, mainly in education, so it requires prepared teachers.
