Objective: To analyze the post-surgical healing of mandibular retained third molar using platelet-rich fibrin. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: The use of PRF is an additional strategy to decrease complications after mandibular third molar surgery and further clinical research is essential to provide more convincing evidence, to consolidate on a protocol development and clinical application, and to maximize its benefits and clinical applications.
