Manejo odontológico de pacientes con trastorno del espectro autista

Objetivo: Analizar el manejo odontológico de pacientes con trastorno del espectro autista. Método: Descriptiva documental, la población estuvo conformada por 15 articulos publicados en Scielo, PubMed. Conclusión: Cuando se trabaja con pacientes con TEA, la meta más importante es la prevención primaria para protegerlos de las enfermedades bucodentales. Lamentablemente, la educación y la formación de los pediatras generales, los dentistas y los higienistas dentales no reciben la atención suficiente para permitirles abordar los diversos aspectos clínicos de los TEA.
